 There’s no better time to get recognized for your innovative approaches and sustainable environmental practices! Use your extra time and space to ensure a project gets the recognition it deserves! Preparing an application is an excellent work-from-home activity, and just think about all the greenhouse gases you’re saving by doing just that! You could be one of New York’s next Environmental Excellence Award winners! This award program recognizes projects that demonstrate significant and measurable environmental, economic and social benefits. Businesses, not-for-profits, schools, and federal, state and local agencies are eligible to apply. Projects should be up and running for at least one year.
Project examples include:
- reducing greenhouse gas emissions or food waste
- increased energy efficiency
- education and training programs
- manufacturing process improvements
- natural resource conservation
- urban forestry
- sustainable agricultural practices
