| Today we join Governor Hochul in celebrating the historic and transformative environmental achievements in this year’s budget agreement. With unprecedented investments in environmental protection and conservation, green energy initiatives and resiliency programs, Governor Hochul and legislative leaders sent a resounding message that New York will tackle the dangerous impacts of climate change at every turn, especially on our most vulnerable communities, while continuing to protect and restore our fragile ecosystem. I applaud the Governor and our legislative leaders for their committed environmental advocacy and courage and in turn, all of us at the Department of Environmental Conservation will continue to work tirelessly to make New York a national leader in conservation, clean energy, and green job creation for generations to come.
