Funding Awarded for 24 Hudson River Estuary Projects
DEC has announced grant awards totaling $902,888 for 24 projects to help communities along the Hudson River Estuary protect water quality and habitats, conserve open space, increase storm resiliency, and improve recreational access to the river for people of all abilities. The grants are funded by New York State’s Environmental Protection Fund and are administered by DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program. To date, the Estuary Program has awarded 519 grants totaling $20,282,527 for projects that implement priorities outlined in DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Action Agenda. |
