DEC now accepting applications for E-waste assistance grants

DEC announces that funding from the State Environmental Protection Fund is available for grants to assist municipalities in New York with recent, unexpected costs of collection and recycling of eligible electronic wastes (e-waste). New York State consumers are required to recycle electronic waste, such as computers, keyboards, televisions and small electronic equipment, in an environmentally responsible manner.

Municipalities can receive reimbursement of up to 50 percent of eligible e-waste recycling expenses incurred between April 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.
