Request for Proposals: River Scenery Guidance and Training
The natural scenery of the Hudson River Valley has long been recognized as an important aspect of the region’s sense of place and has attracted artists and visitors from around the world. $135,000 is now available to help river shoreline landowners and historic sites manage their lands to conserve natural scenery and river vistas while protecting natural resources and wildlife habitat. Preserving scenic vistas for future generations to enjoy benefits communities along the Hudson River and the state’s growing recreation economy.
Funding to support this work is provided by the State’s Environmental Protection Fund and is administered by DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program in partnership with the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) through a Request for Proposals (RFP).
